Sign on Street, Lane, Sidewalk - Request for New at 536 6 Ave SE Downtown
There is a severe pedestrian safety issue at the mid-block crossing on 6 AVE SE, just east of the Ctrain tracks adjacent to 4th ST SE.
Issue: Permanent Sign (Add or Modify)
Details of request: The lines have recently been re-painted, however there is no indication of a cross walk when snow is present. Vehicles and City buses constantly stop in the middle of this cross walk. Even more dangerous is when the light turns green at the intersection of 6h AVE and 4th ST and vehicles speed over the crossing and train tracks to make the light. I walk this route with my wife and 2 year old daughter daily and it can be quite dangerous. It is only a matter of time before a pedestrian is injured.
