Snow On City Road at 637 53 Av SW

The melting snow has created a gigantic, deep pool of water that is more than 6" deep and can't drain due to blocked storm sewer I think.
Issue: Road Plowing/Clearing request - hazardous/emerg
Specific location details: Corner of 53 ave and 6 street Sw. Blocking most of intersection.

We will be plowing out catch basins by community once the snow starts to melt. The curb and gutter has to be cleared and maintained properly by the homeowner to prevent an ice build-up caused by the freeze thaw cycle typical of roads in Calgary. Residents can clear away snow from the storm drain. Residents are asked NOT to chip away at ice on storm drains as they may damage it or injure themselves. |
