Snow On City-maintained Pathway or Sidewalk-WAM at 5040 101 St NW
This year I placed a request regarding the extension of pathway in Valley Ridge that connects to the switchbacks that go from Valley Ridge to Bowness, as it was not being completed though it was in previous years. A person called me back on that request, and I had the chance to ask him an additional question as to why the switchbacks following that extension are never completed. He explained that the equipment used cannot make it safely up those switchbacks. I was fine with that explanation. I had to place yet a second request about that extension as it was still not completed after another snowfall, and received a call back from a different person, and she too explained that those switchbacks cannot be cleared because the snow removal vehicle cannot make it up them safely. Today I went for a walk, and I'm happy to report that this extension is now being cleared; however, I noticed the tire tread mark of the equipment going from Bowness up to Valley Ridge using the switchbacks, which now tells me that the equipment CAN make it up safely. So, I ask again, can we have the switchbacks cleared that run from Valley Ridge to Bowness under the Stoney Trail Bridge?
