Operators take their best care not to pile large amounts of ploughed snow in front of your driveway or sidewalk, but sometimes, it happens. Drivers try to push it as close to the curb as possible, and sometimes the excess snow will create a windrow (pile of ploughed snow) that may leave bit of a hump for you to travel over and sometimes the snow gets plowed onto the sidewalk. You can imagine that, with the hundreds of thousands of homes in Calgary, clearing these by hand (or even with a bobcat or something powered) would take an incredible amount of resources. As per City Bylaw We ask that you clear the snow away yourself. We are sorry for any inconvenience. |
