Tree Maintenance - City Owned-WAM at 165 Strathcona Rd SW
The tree roots from the tree on the boulevard are causing the sidewalk to heave and in my opinion are a liability to people walking along the sidewalk, especially in the winter when the runoff causes ice on the already sloped sidewalk. I added salt this year because I was afraid someone was going to get seriously hurt tripping over the hump. The other issue is that for the second time in 7(?) years, I have water coming into my house. I am certain the roots are responsible for a cracked line on city property. My line is being scoped tomorrow which should confirm my suspicions at which point, I'd like the city to come out and see if there's a break somewhere and to remove the tree to prevent future insurance claims.
