Why no drainage designs to drain water of melting snow? This melt and no drain leaves water to crack sidewalks resulting in repairs and waste of tax payers money. Thanks

Road is extremely icy here. I was going about 20km/hr due to it being bumpy and icy and I hit black ice which almost caused me to crash into parked cars.

The windrow of snow has been left 2-3 feet from the curb. This does not allow the water from melted snow to flow away from the crosswalk.
