Pedestrian and Cycling Pathway - Repair - WAM at 800 12 St NW

The Parks Dept did a great job of installing the pathway in the southwest part of Riley Park, which had been removed many years ago. BUT Parks did not fix a stupid design problem on the pathway on the north side of Riley -- see photo. It is an inconvenient and potentially hazardous obstruction. Either replace the red shale around the gate with asphalt, or replace the bar gate with a couple of lockable bollards! I would appreciate a reply.
