Level of alley is lower than the sidewalk so rainwater & snow melt doesn't drain. Instead a large pool forms. This causes erosion undermining the sidewalk. In winter, this water splashes & freezes on the sloped sidewalk, causing a hazard for pedestrians. FYI, Roads is grading the alley on Monday July 22, but not adding gravel or doing anything else to fix this.
